Campus Dog Park benefit

 In Enrichment

August 3 Event at The Woodward Opera House remains quite a gift to us here at The Ohio Eastern Star Home.

Kim Weitkamp, nationally awarded Singer Songwriter, Humorist and Storyteller offered to us a performance to benefit our Campus Dog Park (CDP). Her generosity stems from the care given to her father-in-law, Charlie Gum, during his stay with us almost three years ago; and the family’s love of dogs.

We are so very appreciative of Kim, of the Knox Partnership of Arts and Culture staff and volunteers at The Woodward, and of Chip and Betty who together made this a memorable evening. And of course, there was George, our much beloved Golden Retriever Therapy Dog.

Ticket sales from the event raised over $ 7,000 for our Campus Dog Park, that’s’ definitely something to BARK about!!!
